Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions using advanced techniques such as balayage or ombre.
• Utilize salon software like Vagaro for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with health regulations.
• Offer personalized consultations to understand client preferences and recommend suitable hair care products or treatments.
• Upsell retail products such as hair care items to meet client needs while boosting salon revenue.
• Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair care, or barbering techniques while fostering a positive team environment.
• Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling payments efficiently.
• Stay current with industry trends in color theory, new styling methods, and product innovations to provide cutting-edge services.

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in diverse hair styling techniques.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Skilled in hair extensions application, color correction and makeup artistry.
• Excellent communication skills to connect with clients effectively and understand their desired outcomes.
• Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Experience with store management tasks such as inventory control and retail math calculations is a plus.
