Duties

• Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, and texturizing to meet client preferences and enhance their appearance
• Provide expert barbering services such as straight razor shaves, beard trims, and classic cuts with precision and care
• Apply hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care treatments to offer comprehensive beauty solutions
• Conduct consultations to understand client needs, recommend suitable treatments, and educate on hair care and styling techniques
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in accordance with state regulations and salon policies
• Use salon management software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage retail sales efficiently
• Upsell retail products such as hair color, styling tools, skincare items, and makeup to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
• Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair coloring, threading, makeup application, and retail sales strategies
• Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth daily operations

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license issued by the state or relevant licensing authority
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of diverse services performed
• Proficiency in salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
• Expertise in hair coloring techniques based on color theory principles
• Skilled in hair styling, cutting, barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and beard grooming
• Knowledge of sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Ability to perform specialized services like hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, threading, and makeup application
• Excellent communication skills to connect with clients effectively and provide exceptional customer service
• Strong retail math skills for upselling products confidently without being pushy
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while mentoring others for continuous improvement
