Contract Cosmetologist (70% Commission) – Senior Salon Location: Wayzata, MN Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays (Growing to 3–4 days a week quickly) Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Plus 30 min close-out; done by 4:00 PM!) Days: Weekdays only (No Weekends) Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099) Target Start Date: July 2026

Are you a licensed cosmetologist with a heart for seniors? We are looking for a patient, caring, and physically capable professional in our independent and assisted living salon in Wayzata.

In this role, you will help our residents look and feel their best in a warm, caring environment.

The Perks & Pay

• Generous Pay: Earn a 70% commission on your services.
• Supplies Provided: Sanitation supplies, towels, and towel laundry service are fully provided for you.
• Great Hours: Predictable 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM schedule, with 30 minutes or less for daily clean-up and paperwork. Done by 4:00 PM!
• Work-Life Balance: The salon is completely closed on weekends.
• Growth Potential: Start Tuesdays and Thursdays with a built-in opportunity to expand to 3–4 days a week very quickly if this is preferred.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Current MN Cosmetology License
• Quality skills, you must be able to perform all hair skills of Cosmetology
• Provides own personal styling tools and non-sanitation products (shampoos, colors, etc.)
• Independent worker comfortable with an annual 1099 tax structure
• Must successfully pass a background check before starting

Pay: $17.00 - $40.00 per hour
