Barber/Stylist Position Overview

* Barbers provide hair, beard grooming, and shave services. * Barbers are responsible for explaining the value of the membership programs, executing all mandated sanitation protocols, sterilizing implements, and maintaining a clean, sterile workstation always. * The ideal applicant must be outgoing, cheerful, engaging, energetic, and resourceful. * Barbers use a variety of tools, some of these implements are sharp, including scissors, clippers, straight razors, safety razors and specialized hair coloring tools. * Staying focused on their work and keeping their tools clean and sanitary is of vital importance. * Reports to: Owner, Shop Manager, or Assistant Manager.

Overview

* The Barber performs hair grooming services for our clients. * They must demonstrate excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills. * They must possess excellent communication skills. * They must hold and maintain a current state license as required.

Qualifications

* Full-time availability. Working days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. * Ability to work in a dynamic shop environment. * Supply and maintain professional tools in working order and free of rust - Electric hair clippers, shears/scissors, and straight/safety razors. * Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and clients. * Barber must have at least one year of professional experience, Master Barber should have a minimum of 5 years or an MB license.
