Hairstylist/Cosmetologist

Job Summary

We are an Aveda salon and spa, seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in cosmetology and a flair for creativity, providing exceptional hair care services to our clients. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality haircuts, color treatments, and styling services while ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional hair cutting, coloring, and styling services tailored to client preferences.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate hair care solutions.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling, color techniques, and product knowledge.
• Perform additional services such as hair extensions and nail care as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
• Utilize software for appointment scheduling and client management.
• Upsell salon products and services to enhance client satisfaction and boost retail sales.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients and managing check-ins/outs.

Skills

• Proficient in cosmetology practices with a strong understanding of color theory.
• Experience with hair extensions and barbering techniques is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
• Ability to upsell products and services while providing exceptional customer service.
• Familiarity or similar salon management software is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for the beauty industry.
