Airbrush Makeup Artist - Temporary Haunted House

Job Description

We are looking for talented makeup artists to join our growing team. As a Makeup Artist, you will work with fellow artists to prepare scare actors for the show each night. We primarily use airbrush paint on our actors, but we use minimal blood and latex as well. We are happy to train individuals on the airbrush system, however some level of experience with makeup is required. All makeup products and tools are provided.

Locations

We are primarily looking for employees for the Bartonville location

*Aura Haunted House* - 4500 Enterprise Dr, Bartonville, IL 61607

*Vibe Haunted House* - 601 Veterans Lane, Creve Coeur, IL 61610

Hours of Operations

In addition to hours of operations, makeup artists will have required practice sessions which we will coordinate as a group, before we open for the season.

While schedules will be discussed as part of the hiring process, hours of operations for both locations can be found on our website here: (Makeup artists will not need to stay through closing time). Preferred start time for makeup artists: 4:30pm

Requirements

• Experience with makeup in some capacity - we will request photographs of previous work. Doing your own beauty/everyday makeup does not quality as experience for this position.
• Be 18 years of age and able to pass a criminal background check
• Possess ability to communicate professionally with a positive attitude
• Be able to work non-traditional hours and weekends October through November
• Possess ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment and thrive in a team setting
• Be able to walk and stand for up to 6 hours and perform repetitive movements

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous haunted house experience
• Airbrush experience
• Special FX experience
