Cosmetologist/Barber

Duties

• Provide high-quality hair styling, including cutting, coloring, and hair extensions.
• Utilize salon software, specifically MINDBODY, for appointment scheduling and client management.
• Maintain sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Assist with front desk operations, including greeting clients and managing appointments.
• Offer exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and concerns promptly.
• Educate clients on hair care products and services, promoting retail sales through effective upselling techniques.
• Mentor junior staff members in hair styling techniques, color theory, and sanitation practices.
• Perform additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and hair threading as needed.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills to foster positive relationships with clients and team members.

Skills

• Proficient in hair extensions application techniques.
• Familiarity with salon software systems, particularly MINDBODY.
• Strong understanding of color theory for effective hair coloring services.
• Experience with straight razor techniques for precision cutting.
• Knowledge of store management principles to assist in daily operations.
• Excellent customer service skills to enhance client satisfaction.
• Competence in various hair styling methods and trends.
• Ability to maintain high sanitation standards within the salon environment.
• Licensed cosmetologist or barber with relevant experience in the field.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Retail sales experience to drive product recommendations and sales growth.
• Skills in hair threading and nail care services are a plus.
