Temporary Part-time: Skin Care/Esthetician Instructor

POSITION

GOALS Provide both classroom and lab instruction to adult non-credit students utilizing an approved training curriculum and materials in accordance with the NJ State Board of Cosmetology for CCC’s Skin Care/Esthetician program.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS * Plan, prepare, and deliver approved curriculum on a daily basis. * Evaluate and assist in the resolution of student concerns. * Prepare lesson plans. * Track student grades and attendance. * Submit student grades and attendance on a monthly basis. * Lead, inspire, motivate, and advise students to actively participate in all aspects of their educational process. * Maintain expertise in the subject area. * Provide regular, accurate and timely feedback to students and the school concerning academics, behavior, attendance, etc. * Manage all activities related to successful operation of the Cosmetology Clinic, which is staffed by the students and open to the public. * Plan and organize instructional materials/supply inventories/tools/equipment. * Ability to work directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. * Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations. * Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources. * Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications * Must posess current NJ State Board of Cosmetology license for Cosmetology or Esthetician. * A minimum of three years of related field experience. * A minimum of two years teaching experience is preferred. * Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods. * Demonstrate and promote a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
