JOB DESCRIPTION

Ruby's Diner, an upcoming independent film project filming in Chicago, is seeking a talented Makeup Artist for a one-day trailer shoot.

We are looking for a creative individual who can help bring our characters to life through realistic and character-driven makeup. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling and understands how makeup can enhance a character's appearance and emotional journey.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create character-specific makeup looks
• Age characters when needed
• Create realistic homeless, distressed, tired, and worn-down appearances
• Create polished and professional looks for other characters
• Provide touch-ups throughout filming
• Maintain continuity between scenes and takes
• Work closely with the Director and cast members

CHARACTER LOOKS NEEDED

Ms. Ruby

• Elderly appearance
• Warm, nurturing, hardworking diner owner

Gigi

• Homeless and struggling appearance in early scenes
• Natural look with signs of stress and hardship

Mean Mug

• Gritty street character
• Tough and intimidating appearance

Additional Cast

• Natural and camera-ready makeup
• Character-specific touch-ups as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in film, television, theater, or production makeup preferred
• Ability to create realistic character makeup
• Must provide your own makeup kit and supplies
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable transportation
• Must be available July 27, 2026

COMPENSATION

$200 Flat Rate for the day.
