Licensed Barber or cosmetologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and talented Licensed Barbers or Cosmetologist to join our vibrant Barbershop team! We focus on men's and children's haircuts, beard trims and shaves. Thomas Barber Shop has been operating since 1959 with a strong customer base. We are a high volume fast-pace environment with long hours. Please do not apply if you cannot handle the work hours. We are open 5 days a week, Mon, Wed- Friday 7-6, and Saturdays 7-5. We are closed Sunday and Tuesdays with all major holidays off.Responsibilities

• Our clients are dominantly men's and boys.
• Provide grooming services such as straight razor shaves and beard trimming.
• Maintain strict sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and adhering to health regulations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Help manage the barbershop such as sweeping and answering the phones.

Experience

• 1-2 years of salon or barbering experience preferred
• Valid state licensure as a Cosmetologist or Barber with comprehensive knowledge of cosmetology practices.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions confidently.
• Knowledge of sanitation protocols and safety standards necessary for maintaining a hygienic salon environment.
• Ability to listen and learn and follow instructions.

Pay: $15.00 - $33.00 per hour

Experience

* Barbering: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification

* Cosmetology License or Barber License (Required)
